INT. HOUSE LIVING ROOM NIGHT
Sarah sits on the couch. She stares at the living room clock. It slowly ticks. Her feet are tapping quickly, her face is full of worry. She is repeating lines to herself.
(Repeatedly) It sounds good. No honey that's great. It sounds good. I love it.
The front door opens. Sarah quickly turns to see Jack enter the front door. His face is full of happiness and energy. He rushes towards Sarah.
(Excited) Sarah! I've figured it out! I finally got it!
Jack grabs Sarah excitedly, she is nervous in his arms.
(Nervously) Did you? Oh, I'm so proud of you Jack.
Jack holds Sarah under his arm, his hand waves around as he speaks.
Picture this. A young girl, wakes up tied upside down in an abandoned basement. Her face is dripping with blood...
As Jack speaks, Sarah's face begins to tense more and more. Jacks voice dissipates in the ambiance.
It sounds good honey. I like it.
Jack's face stiffens. He removes his arm from Sarah. His voice gets lower.
(Serious) What did you say.?
(Worried) I... I said it was good Jack... I... I like it a lot.
Jack's face turns dark. His eyes gain a menacing light.
How can you like it.? I didn't even finish.
Sarah is stricken with fear, she messed up.
(Rushed) No Jack, I mean I liked where-
(Shouting) Shut up!
Jack grabs Sarah and throws her to the floor.
No! You were just trying to make me think it was good! You think I'm stupid!
Jack please no! It is scary! I promise you! The publishers are going to want it! Your writing is always scary!
Jack stands in front of Sarah. His fists slowly relax. A sinister smile constructs from his face. Sarah gives a frightened smile.
It's okay honey. I promise it will be good.
Jack places his hands on Sarah's shoulders.
Your right. It will be good. WE will make sure of that.
(Tearing Up) Please Jack, I don't want to. I don't want to.
Jack smiles and grabs Sarah by the throat. She screams as Jack chokes her out. He then begins to drag Sarah's unconscious body into a dark room down a set of stairs. The lights flicker showing hundreds of torture devices.
Don't worry baby. We are going to make sure this script is the scariest damn thing anyone has ever read. We always do...
The sound of Sarah's body thumping against the stairs continues as the screen fades to black.
